I had a chance to catch up with Boston Breakers player Alex Scott June 24 while she was practicing at Harvard Stadium with other team members. Scott has been playing the sport most of her short life and said she is loving every minute of it. Scott also made it to the 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup in China and the 2005 and 2009 UEFA European Women’s Championships.

Looking at the 2010 World Cup in Boston

Boston soccer fans gathered at the House of Blues on June 12 to watch the exciting Argentina vs. Nigeria World Cup game. Not surprisingly, not many of the attendees were American citizens. While the global community will be captivated by the games for the next few weeks, America has not caught on to the excitement of World Cup or soccer in general.
