I went to another Erykah Badu concert, this time at BRIC’s Celebrate Brooklyn concert series. It was fabulous, as usual, but the concert was scheduled to start at 7 pm, which it did with Phony Ppl as the opening act. But she didn’t come on stage until around 10 pm. I still love her, though. (But, please start your concerts on time!)
Last weekend I had a great time attending the Newport Jazz Festival and the Cambridge Jazz Festival!
My favorite performer was Carlos Henriquez, a jazz bassist from New York. He’s amazing. Check him out!
I am so excited to attend the Newport Jazz Festival in Rhode Island. I am also going to try to hit up the Cambridge Jazz Festival on Sunday. Below is some music to get you in a jazzy mood!
