Over the last year, NABJ and other organizations have been exploring ways journalists can use their communication skills for entrepreneurship. J-Lab will be hosting its annual New Media Women Entrepreneurs Conference Nov. 8 in Washington, D.C.
Brandy Cruthird of Body By Brandy received a $25,000 donation from Citizens Bank Oct. 19 to go towards her nonprofit, BodyByBrandy4Kidz, which is the only kids-focused gym facility and fitness program in the nation that offers free health programs for inner-city families.
