What’s Cooking: Mexican Buñuelos
My local library usually hosts La Posada during Christmas, but it has been canceled for the last two years because of the pandemic. Las Posadas is a reenactment of the nativity of Jesus which is celebrated throughout Latin America, especially Mexico.
After La Posada activities, everyone eats buñuelos, or fried dough topped with cinnamon or powdered sugar and dipped in hot syrup or chocolate! In Colombia, they look like little fried balls with some curd cheese inside.
I found this recipe on YouTube and tried it for myself.
